Prior to opening his own salon, Shige was lead hairstylist at Momotaro Hair Styling Salon in New York City, and nine years as a hairstylist at Yamano Beauty Salon in Tokyo.

In addition to being an accomplished hairstylist, Shige has presented his world renowned hairstyling techniques at numerous seminars. During the past three years, he has provided seminars on Thermal Reconditioning, a straight hair permanent process at top salons in New York City, including Oribe, Frederic Fekkai, Garren New York, Paul-Labrecquc, Louis Licari, Peter Coppola, Stephen Knoll and top salons in Beverly Hills Los Angeles.

He also conducts presentation on dry cut and wet cut techniques throughout Japan. Shige has performed at the Beauty Expo in 1996, 1998, 2004 and the upcoming 2006.
